KERCHOR ELEPHANT ECO PARK
The park was established through the collaboration of Karen families who have cared for elephants from generation to generation. Located in Sobwin Village, Mae Wang District, Chiang Mai Province, Kerchor Elephant Eco Park was founded with the vision of developing a sustainable approach to elephant care while creating meaningful benefits for the local community.
Our core philosophy is to promote Ethical Elephant Tourism, with elephant welfare placed at the heart of every aspect of our operation. We aim to provide visitors with opportunities to learn about elephants, Karen culture, and the traditional relationship between people and elephants, while encouraging responsible and respectful interactions.
Kerchor Elephant Eco Park strives to become a leading community-based ecological elephant conservation center, creating a sustainable balance between elephant welfare, community well-being, ethical tourism, and environmental sustainability.
Through responsible tourism, we seek to protect the well-being of elephants while supporting local livelihoods, preserving Karen cultural heritage, and creating a model of coexistence between people, elephants, and nature.
